Police investigating Millbrook bank robbery

A man robbed a Knights Road bank on Tuesday afternoon.

Authorities are looking for a man who robbed a bank on Knights Road in Millbrook on Tuesday, May 14.

He entered the BB&T Bank at 12051 Knights Road around 4:45 p.m. and handed the teller a demand note, police said. After receiving an undisclosed amount of cash, he fled the scene on foot.

Police described the suspect as a black man in his 40s who is about 5 feet 4 inches tall with a heavy build and dark complexion. He was wearing a blue and grey hooded sweatshirt with “38” on the front, dark-colored pants and white sneakers, authorities said.

He is considered armed and dangerous. Anyone with information about the robbery or the suspect is asked to call the FBI/PPD Violent Crimes Task Force at 215-418-4000.

A reward is being offered for information leading to the suspect’s arrest. Tipsters can remain anonymous. ••
